Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of the Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Hisab – Track Expense & Budget (“Hisab”, “App”, “we”, “our”, “us”), you (“you”, “user”) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

2. Eligibility & Access

• The App is offered to users who are at least 13 years old.
• The App is ready to use immediately after installation; no account or login is required for core functionality.
• Third-party authentication (such as Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In) is required only if you choose to back up or restore data through your personal cloud storage (Google Drive or iCloud).

3. Key Features

• Expense & Income Recording: Create custom categories for spending and income & put transactions among them.
• Analytics: View charts and summaries for selected date ranges.
• Local Storage: All financial data is stored locally on your device by default.
• Backup & Restore: Optional encrypted backup to a private folder in your own Google Drive or Apple iCloud; restore on any device linked to the same account.
• CSV/PDF Export & Import: Export data as CSV or printable PDFs; import CSV files back into the App.

4. User Responsibilities & Data Control

• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of data you enter.
• You bear all responsibility for any data you export or share via third-party apps.
• You must keep your device, Google account, Apple ID, and backup credentials secure.
• Data Deletion: You have full control over your data. You may delete your local data at any time using the app's settings, by clearing the app's data in your device settings, or by uninstalling the app. You may delete your cloud backups at any time directly through the app or via your respective cloud management console (Google Drive or iCloud settings).
• You agree not to misuse the App (e.g., reverse-engineer, disrupt servers, upload malware, infringe intellectual-property rights, or violate applicable laws).

5. Intellectual Property

All logos, trademarks, and other content supplied by us remain our exclusive property. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use the App solely for personal budgeting and accounting purposes.

6. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy (latest version available within the App and at the download link we provide). By using Hisab you consent to the data practices described therein.

7. Disclaimers

• The App is provided “as is” and “as available.”
• We make no warranty that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that data loss will never occur.
• Analytics and calculations are offered for information only and should not be considered financial advice. Always verify figures independently before making financial decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hisab, its owners, developers, and affiliates from any claim or demand (including legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the App.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we suspect that you have violated these Terms. You may cease using and uninstall the App at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability) will remain in effect.

11. Modifications to the Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be posted in-App or via an updated document; continued use after changes signifies acceptance.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in Rajkot, Gujarat, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App.
